Some of the people who celebrate Christmas take it very seriously. Others, not so much. Whatever your perspective on the season, The Farallons Christmas Set has something for you. Included in their usual set of excellent cover tunes and inspiring originals, your Farallons provide songs of the yule season. Interestingly, scholars have noted the connection between that fact that the Farallons always appear as a group of three, and Germanic Matres and Madrones also appeared in groups of three at the ancient Anglo-Saxon Christmas Eve rite of Modranicht*. They are, however, careful to note that they probably did not play the same set list.
