I was extremely fortunate to have Phillip as my first and primary guitar instructor. Although a few years younger than me, I consider him to be my musical mentor or 'root guru,' in the sense that he guided me with patience, support, clarity and total commitment through the various complexities of technique, performance practice and musicianship.
